an ex-DRAG-vaganza, THROB on Todd, a pool party and an outdoor cinema set amongst a glittering landscape of Alice Springs!
Set against the backdrop of the MacDonnell Ranges, Parrtjima is held on Mparntwe (Alice Springs), home of Arrenrtne People.
The only First Nations light festival of its kind in the world, Parrtjima showcases some of the oldest continuous cultures on earth through the newest technology – all on a 300-million-year old natural canvas.
Wide Open Space Festival (returning in 2020)
For three days, Wide Open Space becomes part of the majestic MacDonnell Ranges. People, lights and music are temporarily stitched into a patchwork of rocks, River Redgums and sand.
The festival explores the mental, emotional, social, cultural and environmental landscapes of the desert.
Showcasing the best that #RedCentreRacing has to offer, the Ladbrokes Alice Springs Cup Carnival is a must-see for locals and visitors to Central Australia. Featuring four action-packed weeks of racing, there is something for everyone: fashions, fun, luncheons, horse sales and an all-around amazing time.
The Tatts Finke Desert Race is an off-road, multi-terrain two-day race for bikes, cars, buggies and quads through desert from Alice Springs to the small Aputula (Finke) community. This is one of the biggest annual sporting events in the Northern Territory and has the reputation of being one of the most difficult offroad courses in one of the most remote places in the world.
The festival was organised to sell beanies crocheted by Aboriginal women in remote communities. It has grown into a fun event where Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal artists share their culture and exhibit together. The festival is unique because of the incredible amount of community participation, the unique ties with local Aboriginal organisations and the incredible beanie designs.
The Alice Springs Camel Cup is hosted by the Apex Club of Central Australia and is held at the Alice Springs Turf Club. The iconic Camel Cup provided a great day out with a full program Camel Racing, Food & Market Stalls, Fashions on the Field, Novelty races, activities for all ages and so much more!

The day is all in good fun with the world only boat race with no water. Capture all of the boating action, join in or try some of the other activities, including sandcastle competitions, rubber duck races, market-style stalls and more!

The Games and the concept developed into a success story and quickly earned the reputation of ‘The Friendly Games’ because of the camaraderie and good spirited nature of the competitors and the environment created by the games village atmosphere of Alice Springs.
Plan An Event
Before- Potentially lacking on things to do to make a comprehensive incentive programme. After- Lots of options, everyone is so passionate about what they do that delegates can’t help but go away feeling refreshed and inspired

Before- I was completely unsure and had no understanding of what was on offer. I had never been to Alice Springs. After- Loved it. So many options, I am very impressed
Before – A little negative. I thought it might not be worth the distance to travel to, nor the expense. After – I was blown away. It became clear very quickly that Alice Springs has SO much to offer and is a unique destination for events.
Eden Conference Manager Conference Logistics
The team at the Alice Springs Convention Centre are world class, and are some of the most impressive event staff I’ve had the privilege to work with, they really did make magic happen … and made it look effortless along the way. Feedback from our delegates has indicated that this has been the most successful conference event in our organisation’s 20 year history … I am already being asked, “when can we go back?”
